Habits for Health - Healthier Weight
Starting on Tuesday 27th January our Habits For Health - Healthier Weight group will run for 6 weeks, from 10:30am to midday each week. This is a healthy lifestyle programme with a focus on healthier weight. it is not a weight loss group. It’s a group that aims to support you to make healthier choices for your overall wellbeing, through compassionate conversations around weight. Together, we’ll explore practical steps to help you feel better and improve your health. Topics covered on the group include setting goals, getting better sleep, moving more, taking care of your emotional wellbeing, eating healthily and connecting with others. Find out more.
Pain Cafe
The Pain Cafe is a peer support group for anyone living with chronic pain and is a chance to get with others in a safe environment, in which to talk and share experiences.
Takes place every last Friday of the month, from 11:30am to 1pm in the Education Room (upstairs and turn left) at the practice.
Healthy Homes Energy Advice
Visit the Healthy Homes team between midday and 4pm at their drop-in being held at Frome Medical Practice. Access free, impartial advice about keeping your home warm and dry and find out about grants, quick wins and support available.
Long Term Conditions Support Group
The Long Term Conditions support group is an opportunity to meet with other people who live with a long term condition. This is a safe environment in which to talk and share experiences.
The group meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Boardroom (Upstairs) at Frome Medical Practice.
Talk: Health and Climate, Local and Global - connecting us to our planet
Join us for this one off climate talk - a conversation between two doctors, a Doctor of human ailments and a Doctor of earth elements, where we discover how global systems relate to us all. Find out more and book your free place here.
COPD Support Group
The COPD Support Group takes place on the second Thursday of the month from 10:30am to 12pm in the Education Room at the practice. Aimed at patients with various lung conditions, for example chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Young Person's Patient Group
Our Young Person's Patient Group takes place every second Thursday of the month, at the practice, from 3:30pm to 5pm. For young people aged 13 to 16
Digital Health Pop Up
We want to support as many patients as possible to use the NHS App and other online services. Come to our Saturday pop up at the practice, from 8.45am to 12.45pm, where the team can offer support with the NHS App, other Health Apps or any digital query specifically relating to Frome Medical Practice. No appointment necessary. Please bring your mobile device or tablet if possible. Find out more here.
