Young Person's Clinic
For patients 13 to 19, help on sexual health, contraception, anxiety, stress and mental health.
Weekly session, Wednesday 3pm to 5pm.
Other Events
Health Check and Community Support Drop In
Adult patients are invited to a health check drop in and community support event from 1pm to 4pm at The Key Centre, Feltham Lane, Frome, BA11 5AJ.
Various health checks will be available at the event, including blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, liver screening and abdominal aortic aneurysm screening (men aged 65 and over only).
A range of services will also be available during the afternoon, including GP advice and guidance, mental health advice and support from MIND, health coaching from the Health Connections Team, help with getting online and using the NHS App from Frome Medical Practice Digital Health Team, energy advice from the Healthy Homes Team, Hepatitis C support from the Hepatitis C Trust, SmokeFree Somerset, Fair Frome, Frome Birth Talks and Keyring.
Pain Cafe
The Pain Cafe is a peer support group for anyone living with chronic pain and is a chance to get with others in a safe environment, in which to talk and share experiences.
Takes place every last Friday of the month, from 11:30am to 1pm in the Education Room (upstairs and turn left) at the practice.
Green and Healthy Frome Conference
Green and Healthy Frome is inviting health professionals, policymakers and community changemakers to join us at our conference, to hear first-hand stories, learn from the partnership between healthcare, local government and community enterprise, and share your own insights and aspirations with local, regional and national networks. Community Design Surgery
Free home design, retrofit and energy advice at this session from 1pm to 4pm at the practice. Are you thinking about improving your home? Do you already have plans and not sure what to do next? Are you a homeowner or renter? All welcome!

Living With Pain HEALS - 6 week course starts
For patients living with long term pain or long term health conditions, HEALS is a 6 week online health and wellbeing course, which aims to help you manage your health challenges.
Habits For Health - new 6 week evening programme starts
Starting on Thursday 6th November, our Habits For Health group will run for 6 weeks, from 6pm to 7:30pm each week. This group supports you to lead a healthier life, making small changes which can lead to big improvements. Find out more and register to take part here. (This is not a drop in session, places are limited so we need you to register to come along and we will be in touch to confirm your space.)
Long Term Conditions Group
The Long-Term Conditions group is an opportunity to meet with other people who live with a long-term condition. This is a safe environment in which to talk and share experiences.
The group meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Boardroom (Upstairs) at Frome Medical Practice.
COPD Support Group
The COPD Support Group takes place on the second Thursday of the month from 10:30am to 12pm in the Education Room at the practice. Aimed at patients with various lung conditions, for example chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
No need to book, just come along, but please call the Health Connections team on 01373 468368 if you’d like more information.
Digital Health Pop Up
We want to support as many patients as possible to use the NHS App and other online services. Come to our Saturday pop up at Frome Medical Practice, from 08:45am to 12:45pm, where the team can offer support with the NHS App, other Health Apps or any digital query specifically relating to Frome Medical Practice. No appointment necessary. Please bring your mobile device or tablet if possible.
Menopause Group Discussion
You must register if you wish to attend this session. These are not drop-in sessions and people booked to attend need to arrive for a 6pm start.
Our Menopause Group Discussions take place each month and start at 6pm (usually finishing by 8pm). The sessions are aimed at people who are perimenopausal or menopausal and considering taking HRT for the first time.
