Live Well With Pain

We offer our patients who are living with pain the opportunity to take part in a programme called Live Well with Pain.

This programme is a face to face group which provides you with a step by step guide to living well despite your persistent pain. When people self-manage their pain, their quality of life improves. Eventually it stops dominating their day and they begin to get more out of life.

Knowing how to self-manage your pain is not automatic – but it is something that you can learn. That’s where the Ten Footsteps programme comes in. It’s designed to help you learn the skills you need to become an effective self-manager of your pain. Learning to self-manage will give you back control of your life, with the confidence to live well despite the pain.

The Live Well With Pain programme includes:

  • Videos featuring true stories of people who have found ways to overcome some of the difficulties of living with pain
  • Tips and tools to help you learn new skills for living well despite your pain
  • Documents you can download and / or print out, which cover all the key self-management topics included in the programme
  • Links to trusted online resources that we know to be useful for people developing their self-management confidence.

Patients who are interested in joining a Live Well With Pain programme will need to complete our pre-attendance assessment online form. We will then be in touch with you to discuss taking part.
