The Outside Clinic

Provides free NHS home eye and hearing tests for people who find it difficult to get out. Includes full aftercare, glasses, and hearing aids.

Accessibility and Autism Friendly Libraries

Somerset libraries offer accessible services for people with disabilities, carers, foster carers, and educators. Support is available for people who are blind, partially sighted, or have reading difficulties.

Macular Degeneration Support Group – Frome

A friendly social group for people affected by macular degeneration or sight loss. Activities include talks, quizzes, music, gentle exercise, and outings. Third Wednesday of the month. 10 am to midday at Frome Cricket Club.

Somerset Sight provides services, training, and leisure activities to help people with sight loss stay independent. Includes a volunteer visiting service.

Frome Activity Group meets on the last Thursday of each month, 10 am to midday at The Blue House, 1 King Street, Frome.
