September and October 2025 

During September and October we will be continuing to offer a number of regular women’s health sessions, alongside a series of one off events that we are inviting women to come along to.

Below are the details of all the different sessions and events coming up.

Young People’s Clinic 

Every Wednesday, 3pm to 5pm 
For patients 13 to 19, help on sexual health, contraception, anxiety, stress and mental health. Drop in, no appointments needed.

HRT Discussion Group 

Tuesday 9th September and Tuesday 14th September, 6pm to 8pm.

For people who are perimenopausal or menopausal and considering taking HRT for the first time.

Cervical Screening Clinics

Saturday 13th September and Saturday 20th September, with appointment slots available from 8:40am to 11:50am.

For people who are due or overdue their cervical screening. 

Appointments can be pre-booked (this easiest way to book is via the NHS App) or are drop in

Navigating Menopause: Habits For Health 6 week programme 

Thursday 18th September, 6pm to 7:30pm.

Our 6 week programme at the practice, for patients experiencing the transition through menopause.

Women’s health for the under 25s with Dr Jess Rutherford, Frome Medical Practice 

Thursday 2nd October, 6pm to 7pm.

Confused about your cycle, contraception, or what’s normal? This relaxed, GP-led session is for young people under 25, covering everything from periods to sexual health, with clear, trustworthy advice you won’t find on social media.

Menstrual health and what’s normal, a talk by Dr Alice Gallen, Frome Medical Practice  

Wednesday 8th October, 6pm to 7pm.

Join us for a myth-busting women’s health talk, exploring what’s normal in menstrual health and when to seek help.

Covering anatomy, hormones, red flags, and lifelong cycle changes, with practical advice from your local GP Dr Alice Gallen.

Pelvic health with Joanna Stanton, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist 

Tuesday 28th October, 6pm to 7pm (TBC).

Everything you meant to ask about pelvic health, incontinence, and core strength. Delivered by a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, this will be a relaxed, informative evening, with practical advice you can trust.
