Launch of January health and wellbeing programmes for patients

We are inviting patients to join three group programmes starting in January, each of which aims to improve health and wellbeing and help patients live well.

Habits for Health begins on Friday 9th January and is a six week course, which focuses on supporting patients to make small, positive changes that can lead to a healthier life.

Live Well With Pain starts on Thursday 15th January and is for patients living with persistent pain. The programme offers practical tools and guidance to help patients manage pain and improve quality of life. It has already helped many patients in the past.

A new programme begins on Tuesday 27th January, based on Habits for Health but with a focus on achieving a healthier weight. This is not a weight-loss group; instead, the group will encourage compassionate conversations and explore practical steps to support better health.

Dr Jos Selwyn-Gotha said, “We’re encouraging patients to start the new year by focusing on their health and wellbeing. With support from our Health Connectors, who lead these groups, we aim to help patients make small changes that can have a big impact on how they feel. All groups are free, run for six weeks, and are open to patients registered at Frome Medical Practice. Places are limited, so please register your interest in coming along and a member of the team will get in touch to confirm your place.”
