2025 Year in Review
2025 has been defined by innovation, collaboration, and a continued commitment to exceptional patient care at Frome Medical Practice.
Over the year, our team answered 77,532 incoming telephone calls, made 107,166 calls, and delivered 115,681 appointments. Our medicines management team actioned 56,655 electronic prescription requests, helping patients receive safe and efficient access to the medications they rely on. We introduced weekday afternoon and Saturday morning blood tests, which improved access for patients to blood tests and led to a huge reduction in rejected samples.
Our commitment to reducing barriers to healthcare was nationally recognised when we received the Internet Service Providers’ Association Digital Inclusion Champion Award. Through digital health sessions, delivered at the practice and in the community, we supported thousands of patients to build the skills and confidence needed to navigate online NHS services.
Recognition of our team’s dedication also came in the form of multiple award shortlists: General Practice Awards - Practice of the Year and GP of the Year and the Primary Care Pharmacy Association Pharmacy Technician of the Year. These recognitions highlight the expertise that underpins our patient centred approach.
This year also saw the success of our Only Order What You Need campaign, which encouraged responsible medication use, improved patient safety, and reduced prescribing costs by £278,000. Our sustainability work, in partnership with Frome Town Council and Edventure through the Green and Healthy Frome project, reinforces our belief that caring for our patients includes caring for the environment they live in.
Being selected to be part of the Primary Care Network national pilot has further supported exploring improved models of integrated care, strengthening our ability to provide holistic, patient-focused services. As we look to the future, our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and outstanding patient care remains at the heart of everything we do
