Motor Neurone Disease – Local NHS Support Somerset 

Provide a range of tests, often on a repeated basis on the nerves and muscles, to diagnose this condition. If you or a member of your family is diagnosed, we will co-ordinate your care here in the neurology department. We monitor and support you with help from a team of health professionals in speech, diet, eating, breathing support and physiotherapy.

Help everyone living with and affected by MND access the help and support you need. This includes information about MND, emotional and practical support, information about financial and local support, and signposting to other appropriate services.

Stroke Association – Weekly Volunteer Calls Support 

For eight weeks, a volunteer will chat to you for around 30 minutes. If you speak limited English, we may have volunteers who can support you in a different language, just let us know.  Line is available between Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) and Saturday (10am to 11pm). Closed on Sunday.
