Children and Young People's Mental Health Hackathon
Find out more and share your thoughts
We are pleased to be supporting the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Hackathon, which takes place at venues across Frome on 6th September. Organised by local MP Anna Sabine and Beacon Services Resources CIC, the event will bring together young people, concerned adults, community groups and professionals to explore solutions and support for young people’s mental health.
The day will feature a programme of events, including a panel discussion at Frome Town Hall and a variety of talks and events on different areas of thinking around young people’s mental health. The aim is to bring together the community in a solution led collaborative effort to help support our children.
To get involved, visit Anna’s website and fill in the form indicating your interest . There are also anonymous surveys available for both adults and children to help shape the topics discussed during the day which Anna and the team would love as many people to fill out as possible and make their voices known.

Dr Neha Bhagi, one of our GP partners, as well as Clinical Director and Mental Health Lead at the practice, said, “As a GP, I see first hand how deeply young people are affected by mental health challenges, and how vital early support can be. But the most powerful insights don’t come from professionals alone—they come from young people and their families who live these experiences every day. Through this initiative, we’re making sure their voices shape the support they receive.”
