Increase in blood test appointments
Saturday morning blood tests are now available at Frome Medical Practice.
Frome Medical Practice is pleased to advise patients they can now book in for a blood tests on a Saturday morning. The practice is also offering a wider range of blood test appointments on weekday afternoons.
Managing Partner at the practice, Karen Creffield explained, “We are really grateful to Somerset ICB, who have worked with the RUH Pathology lab to enable us to have a second blood collection on weekdays and a new Saturday blood collection.”
“These changes bring significant benefits to our patients, as well as to our team. It means we now have more appointments available throughout the day and we know the ability to offer a Saturday morning will really support some of our working population. Early feedback from patients about these changes has been really positive. We anticipate the second collection on weekdays will improve sample accuracy and therefore lead to a reduction in the number of repeat tests needed. We’re enormously grateful to our team, in particular our Health Care Assistants, for ensuring these changes have been possible.”
Patients who are advised to book a blood test at the practice can do so by visiting our appointments page. The quickest and easiest way is to book a blood test appointment via the NHS App. Patients who need help doing this can visit one of the digital support sessions offered by the practice. Blood tests can also be booked using the online appointment request form, available on the practice website.
