Frome Medical Practice hosts two events to support community health awareness
We are hosting two upcoming health information events in June, aimed at supporting patients by providing important guidance and peer support on key health topics.
The first event, a Pelvic Health Talk, is offered as part of the Women’s Health Hub at the practice, and takes place on Tuesday 23rd June from 6pm to 7pm. Many women experience symptoms of poor pelvic health in silence, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Patients are invited to come to the talk to learn more about common pelvic health issues, as well as ways to improve symptoms and support wellbeing. The session will be led by a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and aims to empower women to take control of their health.
Register to attend the Pelvic Health Talk.
Later the same week there’s a focus on men’s health, with patients invited to ‘Let’s Talk Prostate Cancer’. This takes place on Thursday 25th June from 6pm to 7pm and aims to raise awareness, encourage open conversation, and provide access to information about prostate cancer. A team from the practice, including Dr Dan Cook and Julie Carey-Downes from the Health Connections Team, will be hosting the event. They will be joined by a patient, who will be sharing his experience of prostate cancer. The evening aims to connect people and families with lived experience of prostate cancer, with the hope that a new support group can be formed. Plans for this will also be shared during the evening.
Register to attend Let’s Talk Prostate Cancer.
Both events are part of our ongoing commitment to improving community health through education, awareness, and accessible support.
Events are free but places are limited. Please register your place if you would like to attend.
