Job Purpose
This is a new role that has developed as part of restructuring of our current team. We are looking for an individual who ideally has previous database management experience, a solution focussed approach and an ability to think both methodically and creatively about problems. Communication skills will be vital as the ability to train and support others will be an integral part of the role. Previous sector experience is not essential as full training will be given
The role holder will oversee the administration of clinical governance searches, analysis and recall system to support patient care. The role will also include acting as part of the IT team to support practice users with software installation and management.
Main Duties
- To be responsible for our chronic disease recall system and play an integral role in improving our current system.
- To work closely with our Medicines Management Team to optimise and align Medicines Management safety blood checks with Chronic disease annual reviews
- To oversee the development of templates and protocols as appropriate
- To be a key member of our clinical Governance team and oversee agendas, agreed actions and minutes of monthly team meetings.
- Oversee the implementation of searches on our clinical system EMIS and to ensure text messaging and /or letters are sent to patients for campaigns and health checks. This would include our annual flu campaign
- To develop searches and analyse data on patient registers as appropriate to support on going improvements and optimisation of patient care
- To support both clinical and administrative staff through training to improve their knowledge and understanding of the functionality of our clinical system.
- To play a key role in staff on boarding supporting inductions for the use of Informatica, our practice booking system, EMIS our clinical system and other software and systems.
- To work with our quality assurance officer on Quality Improvement Projects across the practice
- To assist with installation of software and other IT support as part of our wider IT support team.
