Warfarin Monitoring
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
You can now once again book your warfarin monitoring appointment online (if you've registered for our online services) or via the NHS App. For more information about the NHS App please click here.
What does Frome Medical Practice offer?
Warfarin is a type of medicine known as an anticoagulant, or blood thinner. It makes your blood flow through your veins more easily. It is commonly used in the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.
If you take Warfarin you will need to have the dose checked on a regular basis. Your nurse will confirm what this period needs to be. These checks, called INR, are pre-bookable appointments which can be booked online, via the NHS App or by telephoning appointments on 01373 301301.
