Vasectomy
What does Frome Medical Practice offer?
A vasectomy (male sterilisation) is a surgical procedure to cut or seal the tubes that carry a man's sperm to permanently prevent pregnancy. It's usually carried out under local anaesthetic, where you're awake but don't feel any pain, and takes about 15 minutes.
If you’re considering having a vasectomy please request our information leaflet. Once you’ve read this you will need to make a joint appointment for yourself and your partner with a GP. You can do this online or by calling 01373 301301.
Frome Medical Practice has a Vasectomy Clinic and you will be referred to this following your GP consultation if you decide to go ahead with the procedure.
