Declaring A Climate Emergency
On 19th March 2020, Frome Medical Practice will formally declare a climate emergency, joining many other organisations around the world who have already made this declaration.
The declaration will be made as part of NHS Sustainability Day.
We are inviting other practices to join us in making the climate emergency declaration. This essentially means:
- Your practice acknowledges the climate crisis, which threatens population health.
- You commit to fast-tracking the reduction of our carbon emissions.
- You are committed to working on collaborative actions to deliver zero carbon.
We are delighted that a number of other practices are joining in with the climate emergency declaration, inlcuding:
- Portishead Medical Group
- Teams Medical Practice
- Kintbury & Wollen Hill Surgeries
- Hanham Health
- The Aberfeldy Practice
As a Practice, we are committed to sustainability - it is one of our three core values. You can read more about our work on sustainability here.
